Windsor Side Chair (1967.148)

This is another chair Nathaniel V made for family use. Once painted green, this Windsor side chair is an example of a form that Nathaniel V sold in sets of four or six and recorded in his shop accounts as “green chairs.”

The Windsor side chair is visible in the kitchen, viewed through the doorway of the woodworking shop, in this 1940 photograph of the Dominy house.
